In 2010 Jacksonville snagged its own ABA team, the Jacksonville Giants, and they have impressed fans with spectacular performances that have given them an undefeated record to this point.  They are closing out their season this weekend by hosting the ABA All-Star Game on Saturday, February 26, 2011 and their final game will be on Sunday, February 27.

The Prolegend Movement will once again be reunited with youth dance group The Jacksonville Starz for the halftime performance at Sunday’s game.  The two groups first performed together last June at the Jacksonville Landing as part of the venue’s Summer Kick-off.  This was a free, family friendly event for the community that drew an enthusiastic response from the crowd on a hot, steamy day.

Prolegend will be performing their brand of soulful hip-hop for Jacksonville once again, along with the Jacksonville Starz, an impressive group of beautiful young ladies who showcases the talent and potential that we know exists in all of Duval’s children.  All four members of The Prolegend Movement were born and raised in Jacksonville’s Northside and even as they have found growing success on the Internet and in live performances from here to Atlanta, their commitment remains to this city and the youth. Performing at community events like the Giants game allows them to showcase their musical talents while uplifting their hometown at the same time.

If you’re looking for a low cost way to spend the afternoon with family and friends, then come out to the Giants game on Sunday, February 27 at 5 pm. at Veteran’ Memorial Arena. General tickets are as low as $8 for adults and $6 for kids 12 and under-a very inexpensive way to treat loved ones to an afternoon of basketball action and local music and dance talent.
